Happy Pink Saturday

Pink Saturday again, It seems like the days have been flying by lately. Seems like it was just pink Saturday a few days ago. Like they say the times goes by faster when you are having fun, I must of had fun all week.

I did Last Saturday we went to the quilt show, this cute little baby panel is one of the things I picked up there. I saw this and had to have it. There was also a blue one for boys, I didn't get it now I wished I would have. I'm not sure yet but I will probably cut the blocks out and and make a small quilt, maybe add more bright colors to it or just pinks.

Isn't is just too cute! I can't wait to find fabrics to go with it.

I made another pin cushion. These darn things are addicting. I like this tiny pink cupcake with little jimmy's on top.

I ordered some pink and green felted wool, they arrived today. Very quick delivery, I wasn't really expecting them till next week. So of course I had to post the pink ones here.

This cute little Dreamsicle quilt I have draped over a wood box in the pink room. I have a whole collection of Dreamsicles packed aways in boxes.... I just don't have a place for them right now. This reminds me I have some different DS fabric that I need to make a quilt with.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful
Pink Saturday.

Be sure and go on over to "How Sweet the Sound" to see the other pink blogs for this week. Thanks to Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday for us all to enjoy.

CT wall hanging and a cute little make up bag.

I made this today while I stayed in my jammies all day.... lol ... it was from a kit and I had extra fabric left over so I made this cute little make up bag. I think I have enough to make a fabric basket too. Maybe I will work on that tonight. I still need to quilt this but I couldn't wait to share it with you.

Front side of the bag or the back side which ever you want I guess.
This picture won't post straight so it's another one you have to turn you head to look at. I can't figure out why some photo's won't post correctly.
And the other side. These are fun and easy to make, I think I will need to make more of them as gifts. You can just make then what ever size you want. On this one I had a 7 inch zipper so that's what size I made it. I may check the fabric store for some cute little zipper pulls.

Thank you for stopping by.

Pin cushions and cupcakes

I made another pin cushion. The little cupcake one is the newest one. I think maybe I should add a few more beads to it, what do you think? I like lots of sprinkles on my cupcakes.
These are fun to make but it's hard to find little lids to use.
I started a new quilt yesterday, got the blocks all sewn together and now today I will sew the rows and look for fabric for the borders. It's pink so maybe I will post in for Pink Saturday this week even though it isn't finished.
It wasn't easy making these cupcakes yesterday. It was 97 here, 20 degrees above normal. My icing was not doing well. I kept having to put it in the fridge then frost a few more and put it back in again. So anyway today is my moms birthday so I made her cupcakes and as long as I was making I made some for hubby to take to the office. In all I made 4 dozen cupcakes. These are just a few of the 4 dozen.
Thank you for stopping by.

Pink Saturday

Another Pink welcome to Pink Saturday.

Ok now remember the shelf over the bed that fell a few weeks ago? Well I can't take a chance of putting another one up there and having it fall on someones while they are sleeping. So I hung one of my favorite quilts there instead. I would just worry sick with anything of any weight hanging there now. Oh yeah and in this picture you can also see my new chandelier, so pretty and pink.

Have you seen the cupcake pops over at
Bakerella

Too cute and fun to make. She makes some really cute ones and all kinds of animal ones.

Thank you Beverly for hosting pink Saturday for us. Please go on over and visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound and see all the other pink bloggers.

Love this so I had to post it again. If you haven't had your mammogram yet please go get it done.

Thank you for visiting, have a wonderful weekend.

Bags made from towels.....

I made 2 bags from a kitchen towel and a bath hand towel. I saw some of these bags from another blog and just had to try them. I couldn't really find any really cute towels like she used, I think she must have bought all the cute ones within a 100 mile radius, but I am still on the look for cute ones. These are so easy and fun to make and would make nice little gifts filled with fun stuff.

For some reason this picture keeps posting sideways, really the flowers are the bottom of the bag.

Loved this towel

Thanks for looking.
See you tomorrow for pink Saturday.

Bag and pin cushions

Ok I finished the bag and here it is. It's ok but it wouldn't be my favorite. Love the fabric I used but I just don't like the way the bag hangs, maybe it will be different after is has stuff in it.

My very good friend Helen came over for a sewing day and look what she taught me how to make, aren't the adorable. Do you know what the are made of, besides felt, thread and batting? Thanks Helen for the fun day. These are so fun and easy to make, Helen says they are Lay's potato chip, "you can't just have one" as you can see I already have 3. and sure there are many more in my near future. The little tiny one was my first one.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful!

Pink Saturday

It's Pink Saturday again!

Be sure and go on over and say Hi to Beverly our wonderful host of Pink Saturday, she has a lovely blog and there you can find the links to all the others participating today.

I really had to search around for pink this week and here's what I came up with. The first is one of those cupcake you drop into your bath water but I think it's to pretty for that so yes I have it on a stand in my pink room. Smells pretty too.

A few years ago I started collecting pretty hankies......... these are the first two I found at a little antique shop in Colorado. Ha ha guess how many I have now????? Only these two, terrible collector aren't I? I think that just means I need to get out more. I really like the rose one, it's has been stitched with tiny little stitches, so pretty.

A cute little tiny tote I made for Easter.

This is a customer quilt, it's pink but this is not a very good picture here. It's really pretty pink rose fabric and I quilted ribbon and roses on it.

Another pink customer quilt.

Oh I almost forgot about this one. I found this at Marshall this week. It's so pretty and pink. I saw it and just had to have it.
Thank you so much for stopping by and may you all have a Happy Easter and a blessed day

quilts

Ok so I sewed something wrong on the bag so I took it apart and I'm trying it again. Hopefully this time it will turn out. If not I will have to find some one to make me one. I took all the stitched out today and got part of it sewn back, maybe I can get it finished tonight.....Wish me luck that it goes together better this time.... We have had beautiful weather here all week and then this evening we had a thunder rain storm. Kind of fun since we don't get them very often.

Here are a couple of table toppers I'm working on, this first one was a kit I ordered from Connecting Threads. As you can see it is a easy and fast block to do. Good for when you need that instant gratification. I really like the pattern I quilted on it too. Gees right now I can't even remember the name of it and I'm to lazy to go to my sewing room and look.
This one is from the Happy Hour book. It was really a table runner but I added more to it to make a table topper.

Kind of blurry, sorry.

Don't forget tomorrow is pink Saturday so back for a pink visit.

New magazine and quilts

I've been seeing this magazine all over the blogs and I finally found one yesterday at the grocery store. I love it, there's so many cute projects in there. Last night I started the bag you see on the front cover. I got it all cut out and the handles made but couldn't quilt it yet since there is a customer quilt on the machine right now. Today I will get it quilted though and hopefully tonight I can finish the bag. I hope it turns out nice.
This little pink and brown quilt is adorable. I quilted a daisy pattern on it for her.
Here you can kind of see the the pattern on the back of the quilt.
Here is the quilt of valor quilt that's on the machine now, should get it finished up today.

Another quilt of valor I finished the other day. These are quilt of valor quilts that I did for our local guild. I did not make the quilts, I just quilted them. Who ever made these two really did a nice job on them.
Here's a close up.
Thank you for taking your time to stop by my blog.
Have a wonderful day!

Happy Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday
Be sure and go on over to "How Sweet the Sound" for more Pink blogs
click here http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ or on the Pink Saturday Icon on my side bar to get there. Say Hi to Beverly and thank her for hosting this Pink Saturday for us to enjoy.

In an earlier post I mentioned I would share my pink room, well that was before the shelf fell off the wall. So now you will all have to wait till I get something else for that wall but I will show you some of my favorite things in the room.
First of all here is the wall where the shelf was, I still can't believe it fell. It was in there with those plastic things that expand in the wall so things won't fall. I didn't really have all the much stuff on it and nothing on it was heavy.

Here is the shelf, it broke in a bunch of pieces and one of the corner is crushed so I don't really think it can be repaired.

This is one of my favorite spots in the room.
Love my new pink floral tea pot
I got a gift in the mail. What a surprise it was, don't you just love getting stuff in the mail that you didn't know was coming? Cupcake goodies from my friend Vicki.
Thanks again Vicki, I love em.
Another surprise and it isn't even my birthday or anything. My good friend Helen made this adorable cupcake bag for me and look at the cupcake goodies it was stuffed with. I love those push pins too.
Well can you believe I didn't even post a quilt this time, what's up with that? Don't worry I will get some on here within the next few days.
Thanks for stopping by, Hugs to ya...............

Quilts

Happy Friday everyone. I thought I would add a few quilts on here before I run out to Target to get Easter stuff for the kiddo's. I'm kind of in a hurry so I'm not giving any info on these quilts, if there is anything you would like to know please just ask. I will be on here later tonight to post my pink Saturday post.
