Pink Saturday 9/4/2009

Today is Pink Saturday, enjoy visiting and go on over to Beverly's blog at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ to see the other pink blogs participating, thanks Beverly.

Today I'm sharing a few baked goodies and a customer quilt.

This cake was so yummy, it's a banana cake with vanilla/almond butter cream icing. I decorated the top with gum paste flowers I made and also used little pearls around the top and bottom side. This was a fun cake to make.

Here after we cut the first piece. I sent half of the cake home with my sister. If it was here I would have ended up eating the whole thing......

A close up of the flowers on top.

Last week I played around making a few cupcakes.

I really like these little baby shower cupcakes. Also fun to make.

Not a good picture but this is my favorite baby shower cupcake.

Last but not least a pink customer quilt. This is the cutest fabric. She got it at Joann's, she said it is a new line they are now carrying. I don't know what it's called or who makes it but it's cute.

Here is the back of the quilt. Too cute Jeanette!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting, have a wonderful Pink Saturday.

  9. My goodness, am I glad I found you! I am not a cook or baker, but seeing a cake and cupcakes like this make me want to try. And I love the quilt...I also quilt, and am getting ready to make one that I hope to show before too long...if my family will leave me alone long enough to work on it! I have to read your previous posts to look at your long arm...I almost bought one, but have no space and don't know if I would have time, nor am I good enough to quilt for money...I'd be like those starving artists! Thoroughly enjoying your blog! Mary
