Customer Quilt

First of all a big Thank you to Linda over at http://living4quilting.blogspot.com/ for helping me understand the whole picture posting thing.
This is a customer quilt I finished up last night. I did an all over meander on it using thread color Lemonade. It's much prettier in person.

This is the back of the quilt. That is the most beautiful fabric. You can't really see it in the picture but around the flowers is the pretties shiny gold outline.

And a close up of the back. This is a huge quilt 98X106 so it took me a good while to do it yesterday. I think the customer will be very happy with it. I know I wish it were mine.

Hopefully today I can pin on one of my quilt that I need to get done for a Christmas gift. Hubby is painting the living room today and going to start down the hall, he has already done the family room and his office area. It's a lot of work to paint when you have a bad back and 2 bad knees, so it is slow go for him but he is getting it done a little at a time. I will try and post pictures of what it looks like so far. I can't wait for it to be all done. I am tired of the mess everywhere. Next will be my pink room then our bedroom. Oh and the bathroom. It has apple tree wall paper. I didn't put it there, it was there when we rented the house and she didn't want us to change anything but now that we are buying we can cut down the apple trees. oh it's terrible and I've had to live with it like that for 5 years. Anyway enough babbling on. You all have a wonderful Sunday and be good.

Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday. Hope you all found my new blog location. So far this one is working out just fine for me and I am still learning all the cool features it has.

This is my cute little granddaughter Rylee, all dressed in her Pink poodle skirt for Halloween. She is such a little doll and so. She is all about Pink all the time too.Tea anyone? Rylee got this little salt and pepper set for me for my birthday. She loves having tea parties so she likes anything to do with tea.

Be sure and visit Beverly to see more Pink Saturday blogs, just click on Pink Saturday on my sidebar. Have a great weekend.

Cupcakes and quilts

Yay, I just filled my first cupcake order. I am so excited about it. She only wanted a dozen but I made a few extras, a dozen extra to be exact. Anyway I also made 13 more just for fun and practice and she ended up buying those too. I could make cupcakes all day but I do have to quilts to quilt too. Here is the quilt ABOVE that's on on the machine now. Drunkards Path... See you tomorrow for Pink Saturday!

The pink ones are the ones she ordered and the ones on the cupcake tree were the extras she also bought. Too much fun.

Good day and woman's remote

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner. What are you doing today? Are you brave enough to fight the crowds for shopping? Not me, that is just to many people and to much waiting in line for me. We did a few years ago at a fabric store, waited in line 2 hours to get fabric cut then waited in line an hour to pay for it. Not fun at all but good luck to all of you who are out shopping today. I saw on the news last night where people were lined up and camping outside of Best Buy, to me that's just crazy. I saw this woman's Remote somewhere on the web and thought I would share it with you. To bad it doesn't really work.

Don't forget tommorrow is Pink Saturday. Click the link on my side bar if you would like to join us.

New to this blog site, testing to see if I can post.

Ok so here I am finally going to try this blog site. It may take me awhile to learn it but I am doing my best. I'm not sure how a lot of it works yet but I guess I will learn as I go. I'm going to try to post a picture now to see if I can do it. Ok so lets see if it worked. Wonder if I am doing it right because it took a long time for the picture to upload.
I love making these little fabric baskets, so fun and easy to make. Seems like everyone in the quilt or sewing blog world is making them. Ok lets see if this worked.
Take care and be good.
